This was Nolan Arenado’s first game back in Colorado so it was nice to see him receive a well deserved ovation. We came to the game on 7/1 to watch the Rockies play the St. Thank you for having us! I would recommend this place with the cautions that I mentioned above. It's definitely like an established campground except that you have heat and a comfy bed to keep you sleeping happily through the night. The mice obviously should be something to address ( whether by providing a food box OR suggesting to guests to keep their food in their cars) but it's also a legit old log cabin so it's natural to encounter critters. I would come back a little reluctantly in the Winter since the shower water wasn't cutting it for me, but I would come back in the Summer since the temp doesn't matter that much at that time or Fall when the Aspens change leaves. The rest of the bathroom was in relatively good shape and the design of the bathroom was attractive. The shower floors could've been cleaner but I've seen way worse. The water from the sink ran HOT but the showers gave off a wimpy lukewarm stream. A unique aspect about this cabin is that you bring your own bed linens and towels, which is super sustainable this place also runs on solar energy which I am happy to hear! The showers were a bit of a let down. We kept our food inside with us and I believe we were visited (more so raided) by little mice who nibbled on some food but I never saw them with my own eyes. The grill outside was great to cook breakfast and the wooden seats were also solid. The heaters had a hard time warming up the little room so we limited how often we opened the door. The cabin bed was surprisingly comfy and our window looked over the river. We had after hours access to the thermal hot springs where the sky was dark enough to see constellations galore and shooting stars pass by. You can easily forget time and wander the entire day.Ī unique experience staying at this place: I lucked out and stayed in Cabin #4 for the weekend. Both are very fair prices for such a unique experience and important place for our environment.Īlso, bring water, food/snacks and a sun hat.

The entrance fee is about $35, but we recommend the annual National Park Pass, which is $80, because you can enter unlimited and visit all National Parks. Do this, and you won’t have a problem entering.

This is a simple procedure that is done online. This is one of the most epic routes in the country, so you don’t want to miss this! HOWEVER, you need to book an online reservation to get in, and the slots are open from May 27 to September 11, 2022. The National Park Entrance is open 24 hours, all year round, and will give you access to the Going-To-The-Sun Road from the west side. We have made several cross-country road trips and have entered and exited the park many times without ever having a problem. Notice that all negative reviews are from visitors who have not spent a minute researching the proper procedure of entering. You want to experience this gem of a National park while the glaciers are still here. The 15,000+ reviews speak for themselves. There is another gorgeous hike from many lake to the glacier but you need to take the boat pass or wake up earlier and hike two lake before you get to real hike. My favorite part of the park is the Many Glacier side and we stayed at the Swiss Lodge which is worth to stay at least one night if they have availability. In addition, keep in mind that going to the sun road is closed from September til early June. Make sure you check the shuttle hours since they vary. Also, you can park the car at the end of the trail and take the shuttle to Logan pass and start the hike there. We did in August and some spots had snow on the ground due to recent snow storm.

The hike can take 10-12 hrs depending on how fast you are and on the hike conditions. If you love hiking, Highline trail is beautiful for sight seeing and observing the wild animals. I saw multiple cars driving around looking for a camping spot with no luck.

The campgrounds are full in August and make sure you reserve you camping spot several months before your trip. Going to the sun road is amazing and very reminiscent of Switzerland. We spent 7 days in this wonderful national park and we enjoyed every single minute.
